Grace Wright-Arora
Researcher and investigative writer working on climate finance, infrastructure, and corporate accountability
Grace Wright-Arora is a researcher and investigative writer working at the intersection of climate finance and corporate accountability. She is completing a DPhil in Geography at the University of Oxford, funded by the ESRC Grand Union Doctoral Training Partnership, and holds a visiting researcher position at ICTA-UAB, Autonomous University of Barcelona, as part of the ERC-funded REAL Post-Growth project.
Her work moves between academic research and public-facing investigation across the UK, Europe, and Latin America. She has published in journals including Environment and Planning E and Journal of Political Ecology, with forthcoming pieces in e-flux and Red Pepper.
Grace works in English and Spanish, and has presented, taught, and conducted fieldwork in Spanish, including as part of her current Antipode-funded project on water financialisation and gender in Mexico City.
Current Work
Her current research focuses on the impacts of water financialisation in Mexico City. She is preparing for her third fieldwork visit in Mexico City in late 2026 and is developing collaborative research connected to the Antipode project. Alongside academic work, she is working on a long-form investigation into river pollution and regulatory failure in England.
